During the visit, representatives from our Foundation, led by our Chairperson, Alice Agada, had the opportunity to engage with the Secretary-General of the D-8, Ambassador Isiaka Abdulqadir Imam and members of the D-8 Oragnization. Through constructive dialogues and exchange of ideas, our Foundation shared insights on the critical role of mental health in driving socio-economic progress and building resilient communities. The discussions centred on identifying synergies between mental health initiatives and economic development strategies, highlighting the need for integrated approaches to foster holistic well-being.
Central to our Foundation’s visit was the emphasis on forging partnerships and alliances that would catalyse efforts to improve mental health outcomes and enhance the well-being of individuals and communities within the D-8 member countries. By aligning visions and pooling resources, our Foundation and the D-8 Organization aims to co-create initiatives that address the unique challenges faced by D-8 member countries, while advancing shared goals of building resilient societies and promoting inclusive growth.
Our Foundation’s courtesy and partnership visit to the Developing Eight Organization For Economic Cooperation marks the beginning of a new chapter in collaborative efforts to elevate mental health awareness and improve the quality of life for individuals and communities across borders. Our shared commitment to fostering sustainable impact and building a more inclusive world underscored the transformative potential of synergies between economic cooperation and mental health advocacy. By leveraging the strengths of partnership and the spirit of cooperation, the journey towards building resilient communities and fostering well-being gains momentum, and paves the way for a future where every individual can thrive.
